A New Day for Frankfort

A candidate for Frankfort City Clerk-Treasurer who has spent his career keeping organizations’ books accurate and current

Andrew Day was born and raised in Frankfort. He has spent the last nine years managing the city's utility funds as Frankfort Municipal Utilities Auditor and Secretary of the Utility Service Board. He is running for Clerk-Treasurer to bring that same standard to every dollar the city takes in and spends.

ACCOUNTABILITY

Every Dollar Accounted For

The Clerk-Treasurer is the city's chief financial officer, and when that office falls behind, Frankfort pays for it in higher borrowing costs and weaker audits. Andrew has spent nine years accountable for public money at Frankfort Municipal Utilities. When he stepped into a vacant role on the Utility Service Board, he inherited months of unfinished work and had the year-end reports done on time.

TRANSPARENCY

Finances You Can Actually Read

Residents should not need an accounting degree to understand where their tax dollars go. Andrew wants the city's financial reports written plainly, published on a schedule people can count on, and backed by quarterly updates on where Frankfort actually stands. He already does this at the Utility Service Board, where the numbers are read out in public.

DEPENDABILITY

The City's Source for Straight Numbers

The Mayor, the Council, and every city department need accurate numbers before they can make a decision, and the Clerk-Treasurer is where those numbers come from. Andrew intends to be the professional, non-partisan source the city can lean on, and to stay current through Accelerate Indiana Municipalities and statewide Clerk-Treasurer training.

"Whether I'm working in municipal finance, coaching young people, or serving my community, I try to lead by being prepared, dependable, honest, and willing to hold myself to the same standards I expect from others."
